Another Exercise
And off I go.
As you read this, God willing, I’m in New York, ready to start promoting Vigil. ( (I left a day early to beat the storm.) The next few (four?) weeks may be a bit irregular here - I ask for your indulgence and will do my best to keep you posted on progress. (And looking forward to meeting some of you on the road - we’re doing full-out book signings this time at, I think, nearly all the venues.)
This week, I thought we’d try another exercise, one that is, at least in my mind, related to the editing one we just completed, in that it’s a way to look closely at the processes of choosing and preference, so essential to what writers, and readers, for that matter, do.
We’ve done a version of this before, a few years ago, but this is slightly different.
I learned this exercise from a wonderful artist named Lou Stovall.
