Thank you, George, from Santa Cruz. Your presence is the best medicine. I loved the first 1000 words and am now hungry for the rest. Thank you so much for Story Club and all you share and make possible here.
If I ever saw you in person, I wouldn't have the words to express my deep feelings and appreciation for your work. I'm always waiting for your next work to be published. I love the ensemble recording of Lincoln in the Bardo.
Thx George. That was great. I understand better when I hear you read your own book.
A longtime friend of mine who has a history in Healthcare and then Ministry recently enrolled to become a death doula. She would be magnificent, I have no doubt. But at 80 something years old and its accompanying limitations, she may not be able to complete her course. So I’m thinking that she might be cheered by reading about a death doula who’s already passed. Wow, what a concept!! Just waiting on the other side, unpaid, confident…I’m assuming here. If my angelic I’m imaginings
Hi George! This brightened my day which was a tough one at the funeral of a dear friend. I missed the live (at the funeral) but was so glad to watch the recording in Nashville. I hope you do this more often! And, can’t wait for Vigil and the Ann Patchett chat at MBA!!! Congratulations!! Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season with your family!
Just had a chance to tune in now. This was so wonderful! Thanks, George. Love listening to you read out loud. Looking forward to the book and to possibly having another SC live session with you in the future. All the best on the tour!
I read it every year on this day, as does my Dad. One of my favorite winter traditions.

Wonderful! And happy Tenth of December everyone!
You could be in a Tolstoy story (Tolstory) with that beard. It’s very Tsar Nick
So THAT's why we've been reading the Russians!

In honor of vigil, maybe we can read a Flannery OConnor story since grace runs throughout.
Watching you from Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
Thanks George, love the start of the new book. I listened to 10th December on audiobook today. I'm still thinking about it. Northumberland, UK
