I want to start out this post today by saying how moved I was by your response to last week’s prompt. In that post, I said we were a “brain-trust” and that idea was beautifully illustrated in your responses, which I’ve been reading all week, addictively, drawn back to them by their positivity and precision and detail.
I had a feeling some wonderful essays might come out of that prompt and wow, have they ever.
That might be a decent “assignment” for those of you so inclined: simply, consider what you wrote to be the seed of a longer essay. Write it and write it and revise it and send it out.
We might discuss here, in the Comments, where to send it to, exactly – what magazines and websites would be particularly open to essays on these ideas?
