Glad to hear your dog is on the mend. I am from Australia and currently in India. I have been feeding a street dog with a badly broken leg in Delhi for the last two days. It is heartbreaking. We have left Delhi this morning. For those who are able I would love a prayer for this dog that others will continue to take care of it.
George and Storyclubbers, may I have your attention, please?
There's this guy https://substack.com/@georgesaunderss1?utm_source=new-follower-email who claims to be George, but he is not. (Look closely at his mail address, there's an S more.) There are scumbags, pretending to be Michael Moore and Heather Cox Richardson, or any of the other superstars on Substack. To whom should we address this issue?
Portia, Under "Settings" on the Substack site pages there's a Chat box. I've gotten good response from them on a couple of technical things. Might be a good place to start.
Thank you all those who responded to my request for prayer for the dear dog in Delhi. We were able to get help and the dog, now named Francis, has had medical care and now has a permanent home in an animal welfare shelter. With very caring people including their vet and his wife. The kindness was amazing.

The seesaw is somewhat out of kilter, weighting the good news on Guin (and it is good news) on one end more heavily than the 'epic discussion' breaking out and about AI on the other.
Dog's arc of story we get, so relate to ⚖ AI's arc of story we don't, yet, get so can't, yet, easily relate to?
How good was last night at the recognition awards, I wonder, not least having taken opportunity to read the early pages of Last Actsand so make early acquaintance with Rizzo?
Thank you for telling us the good news about your pup! And I’m sorry I can’t attend this wonderful event. Hope you have something around DC sometime soon :-)
I am heartened and happy to hear of Guin's signs of recovery. A fine sweet-natured dog is such a blessing, a cherishment to our lives (James Harriot well knew this: read his "Dog Stories"). May she have a long healthy life ahead. And may all dogs have such loving bipeds to care for them.
Happy to hear about Guin’s progress! Have a great time in NY, and tell Justin Torres that he’s a cutie pie (I could be his mother). I workshopped with him in Tomales Bay. Has he recovered from the potato bug?
Nice to hear about your dog! Having sick pets is the worst. Talk about feeling helpless. My wife lost both her cats last year and it was pretty rough, though they were both very elderly. I would love to make this, though I'm doubtful I will on account of the two young ones. I do wonder how many Story Clubbers are out here in NYC. Could be fun to do a meet-up.
Safe travels - and what an honor to meet young writers who will be the voices for this generation, at a special and daunting moment in time. And so glad to hear Guin is improving.

Thanks Tod, I tried to explore the Help section once, but to no avail. I'll try again.
That face could brighten any waiting room. Sending more warm wishes. Guin clearly has the spirit of a champion and the smile of a pro.
