Creative Writing, Fiction stream. Iām doing short fiction :) Iām in Wellington, New Zealand so the dates are a bit different from elsewhere I think.
Yes itās been brilliant! I only have just under a month until final hand-in. Iāve been doing it in person at the International Institute of Modern Letters at Victoria University. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed reading your short short 'Bitten'. That is, more accurately, I enjoyed reading your short short 'Bitten' Amber having used the clues spread through this thread to click, track, trace and check out your MA course. You are fine ambassador for you alma mater, no quibbling about it!
It is one of the things that is so strong about Story Club: making new connections through posted comments. Thanks.
Oh gosh Iām sorry Rob but that story doesnāt belong to me! I have work that has been shortlisted for competitions here in New Zealand and is scattered throughout various parts of the internet but I only started submitting/entering competitions under my own name this year and it hasnāt been anything substantial! In truth I desperately needed the confidence boost this MA has given me to even consider publishing work but hopefully next year Iāll be submitting my collection to publishers! Dependent on the feedback I get from the examiners etc.
š Yes Amber I'm now feeling confirmed as the kind of fool who rushes in where wiser angels fear to tread and, if they do venture to tread they do so carefully.
Your still a good ambassador, speaking as you have found, "the confidence boost this MA has given me" is quite an endorsement. Bon chance with getting your stories out into the wide world beyond Wellington.
What program? š
